20 Pounds in 3 Months – Natural Weight Loss Tips

By Diana Larsen There are two kinds of secrets one is not good enough to keep and the other is too good to keep. In this article, I will let slip a secret that is too good to be kept for myself. I am going to disclose things I did to lose 20 pounds in three months – naturally. This had never been easy, specially, when people used to laugh at me for all those extra flab! I almost stopped going to social gatherings because I psychologically felt so unsecured. In fact, now I realize, people were not that bad always. Out of my feeling of insecurity, I myself created many of those embarrassing situations and lost some good friends. There was a time, when I used to lock myself in a room or pretended to be busy to avoid public interaction. However, the days are gone, and now I am a regenerated soul who moves in public parties with more confidence, elegance and grace. Before coming to the point let me tell you frankly that, I am not a weight loss expert and these are the measures I took to pull my weight down and shape up my figure. To add to this, I want to take this opportunity to thank my friend Hannah (my physical instructor), who helped me a lot to come out of all those depressing moments. My first move was towards changing my lifestyle completely. Experts say that Obesity got a direct connection not only with your food habit but also with your psychological status. I became more careful regarding my food habits. I stopped eating junk foods and made sure that I will take my food on time at any cost. I became very strict about my food habits and within a few weeks, I could feel the difference. I concentrated more on fruits and fat free meals. I left my bed very early and went out for a little walk down the lane I never knew that the place looked so beautiful early in the morning. First few days were horrible but now I cannot even think of sleeping until late. Earlier I had a lot of problems with my sleep I could hardly have sound sleep at night and felt sleepy all day long. I even thought of taking sleeping pills. Now the habit of waking up early pushes me to bed with a sweet sound sleep. In the process, I made a daily routine for myself and I followed that religiously with all my heart. My physical instructor inspired me a lot, especially when out of frustration I wanted to take synthetic medicines, she suggested me to go for natural weight loss pills. I am grateful to her for saving my life and my future from side effects and more frustrations. My family helped me a lot, and I am sure that I could not come back to a normal life without their support. Diana Larsen works for a reputed real estate marketing agency. Salt Dough Creations

By Sandra Hedditch Salt dough is a cheap and fun way of making all kind of great decorations for yourself and friends. To get your imagination going here are a list of things you could make. 1) Photo frame 2) Medals 3) Hanging plaques 4) Ginger bread type people for childs room 5) Door hangers. I am sure you will be able to think of many more once you get in the creative flow. Here are the ingredients you will need 8 heaped table spoons of plain white flour 4 table spoons of salt 1 table spoon of vegetable oil 8 table spoons of water plus a little extra (Egg and water glaze optional) Baking tray Paint, Ribbon, Clear varnish very important! Method Mix the flour and salt in a bowl then mix in the oil and water Knead the ingredients by hand, sprinkling water into mixture As you go, until the dough forms a ball. Remove from the bowl and continue to knead for about 10 minutes Until smooth and feels slightly warm. Now here I am going to tell you how to make a hanging basket to give you an idea of what can be achieved. On a slightly floured board roll out the dough until it is about 1cm thick, Cut into 2cm wide strips, lay one dough strip on the baking tray and lay a second over it to form a cross shape, lay a third strip over the second parallel to the first. Fold back the first strip lay a forth underneath, parallel to the second strip lay strip one back You can see this forms the basket woven effect. Continue to lay your strips this way until there are seven vertical strips and four horizontal strips. Make the basket shape by curving the outer vertical strips inwards at the bottom and fix with a little water, trim of excess dough. Roll out two finger-thick sausage shapes and fix to sides of the basket with a little water. To make the base of the basket roll out two more sausage shapes the same thickness and lay those next to each other starting in the middle gently twist them together to form a rope look, with a little water attach the rope to the base of your basket. Now make another rope in the same way for the handle and another for the top trim again fix with water. Using a skewer make a hole on either side of the basket near the top this will be to attach a ribbon later. Here you may use the egg glaze BUT if you wish to paint your basket then do not glaze. With the rolling pin roll out remaining dough and cut out some leaves and also roll some dough into little cherry shape balls then arrange them at top of basket to appear it is full, again attaching with water. When you are happy with your arrangement place in your oven at 145c/ 290f/ Gas 1 for 2 to 3 hours, when done leave to totally cool. Now you are ready to paint your basket, water paints are fine as long as you do not make the basket too wet. I find acrylic paint is better as you do not need to use water. When you have finished painting and it is dry you will need to cover in a clear varnish at least two coats, making sure the first coat is dry before applying the next VERY IMPORTANT, do make sure the whole of your work is totally varnished as uncovered dough will go moldy and will disintegrate. To make meddles is easy and fun for children roll out the dough on a board and using cookie cutters to make the shapes make a hole in the top and bake the same as for the basket. Once your children have painted them it is a good idea if you do the varnishing for them. Then when dry you can thread a cord of your choice through the hole to make a necklace. Wild Flower Garden – Yours to Design and Plan

By Gabrielle Bennett To design a wild flower garden, you do not need to be a specialist or an artist, you just need to be observant and let your creative juices flow. Look around you, what is unique about your surroundings? Do you wish to enhance or compliment these things. Will your new wild flower garden be visible from the house, if so, perhaps you would like to plant your favorite colors so every day is a feast for your eyes. Are you seeking a quiet spot to sit awhile and relax, then your new garden can have a stone bench surrounded by tall plants to create a sense of peace and privacy. As I said, whatever style of wild flower garden you want, it can be yours. You can make this a reality if you plan the work, and work the plan. To ensure that you end up with a garden design that you will love you need to take account of Your own personality, your likes and dislikes The purpose you want your garden to serve Growing conditions unique to your area Amount of time you can devote to maintenance Budget These are quick and easy decisions to make, the same ones you would need to make when designing any type of garden, however failing to plan is like planning to fail. If you decide to go for a small wild flower garden, then using pencil and paper to create your design is fine. If you have a large area, you may find it is a good idea to use a software program to create your plan. For a large area you need more precise measurements for hardscaping, sheds, fences etc. Planting large areas can be quite expensive so you want to be sure your overall plan looks good before you start buying plants. Seeing it all on a detailed blueprint will save you time and money by helping you avoid mistakes. Whether your new garden is big or small it should blend with your home, your homesite and ideally with your neighborhood. Your choice of wild flower garden will most likely be inspired by the region you live in e.g. from a cottage garden in cooler regions to a tropical garden in hotter climes. I find that the planning stage of the process to be hugely enjoyable. You can let your imagination run wild, but eventually you must fit your ideas into your available time and budget. So let your imagination run riot, plan your dream garden and then start refining. Enjoy. Gabrielle Bennett is a gardener with many years experience gardening in different climates. All You Need to Know About Home Improvement Loan

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Corey_Senn]Corey Senn An expanding family often requires an expansion of space. However, buying and moving into a bigger house could turn out to be quite costly. An alternative to this is a home improvement loan. The most important variable when considering a home improvement loan is the interest rate available to you. Dont hesitate to get quotes from multiple lenders this is the best way to find a low rate loan. Remeber that different lenders will offer different programs, rates and terms. It’s your job to search out the best program that fits your home improvement needs. A loans rate of interest is dependent on numerous factors. If the loan is secured by some form a collateral, namely the borrowers property, then it will have a lower interest rate. Conversely, if the borrower has poor credit, the lender will offer the money at a higher rate. Another route you may find beneficial is to take out a personal loan for your home improvement needs. These are for the most part unsecured because they are typically used for small home repairs. If you are looking to do major construction, you may want to take out a homeowners loan, which is secured. This may be the best choice since home improvement is usually seen as an investment because it increases the value of your home as long as the appreciation outweighs the cost of repairs. Modified Mediterranean Diet

By Ray Darken So, your health is what worries you? Trying to improve your life just that little bit more? Then a modified Mediterranean diet may be your magic potion. The Mediterranean diet is renowned for the anti-aging effect it gives and as surveys have shown, it in fact makes one appear younger and healthy over time. Research indicates that the Mediterranean diet has also been responsible for markedly reducing the occurrence of cancer and heart disease in the Mediterranean region and in various studies. HmmSo what constitutes this youth potion? A modified Mediterranean diet consists of lots of fruits, vegetables, legumes, cereals; moderate amounts of fish, much less saturated fat but lots of unsaturated fat like olive oil; less dairy products and meat but only a modest intake of alcohol, basically red wine. As you can see, this is really not a magic potion but a sensible way to eat. It is their cooking methods, recipes and flavours that make this diet so magical. How to eat them? First we need to look at why we eat them. – Lots of fruits and vegetables are recommended in this diet. This is because they can give you the fibre that our body craves for. Fruits and vegetables are, in fact, a rich source of all types of nutrients that are essential for the body. By eating those, we end up getting all the vital elements required to our aging body. Eat them raw or minimally cooked. This would keep the nutrients intact. – Fish is recommended. To be precise, oily fish is the best because it gives the required proteins to the body. Not only that, it provides omega-3 and is a good source for revitalizing your cells. – Saturated oil must be avoided. Instead, unsaturated fat is recommended, especially olive oil. Olive oil is highly recommended for the following reasons: – It is a monounsaturated fat and it is a good source of anti-oxidants. This would be a great way to reduce the high content of fat we take when we use other oils like vegetable oils. – The saturated oils also interfere with the omega-3 functioning and may lead to serious issues like blood clotting and other cardiovascular problems. – It has also been noted that the use of olive oil decreases the incidence of atherosclerosis. – Dairy products are used in moderation but skimmed milk products, goats milk, feta cheese etc. are preferred. Some dos and donts Have lots of food from plants. All kinds of vegetables should be eaten and as mentioned above should be steamed or lightly cooked not boiled to death. Over cooking them serves no purpose as they wipe out all the nutrients. This is because the high fibre and anti-oxidants they contain can often be destroyed or reduced by too much heat. Blue leafy vegetables and those that are grown above the ground like beans, nuts, etc. are also high recommended. Vegetables grown underground like potatoes may also be used from time to time. Eggs in moderation, say one egg daily is acceptable. Avoid sugar at all costs. High processed sugar levels in the body would only increase your chances for diseases like diabetes or worse heart problems. Red meat should be eaten only from time to time. Try to make it a once in a week. Cooking oils – in this case stick to olive oil as much as you can. Make it a regular thing in your kitchen. Extra virgin olive oil (green color) is the best Intake of oily fish should be around once or twice in a week mainly for the omega-3 it gives you. Do not confuse the modified Mediterranean diet with diets that reduce weight only. Mediterranean diets have many benefits but they are not out of a pack like some fad diets. You may have heard about the weight loss some people have achieved on this diet. Well, this outcome is based on the fact that it is a much healthier diet than most, which in itself encourages weight loss almost by default. To lose weight on the Mediterranean diet, you should stick to it and you would be well advised to consider exercise and refrain from over indulging. There is no magic here. However, the facts and figures from many studies show that using a Mediterranean diet cookbook regularly will benefit your health immensely. You should exercise daily no matter what diet you undertake. Walking is fine. You would be smart to include your doctor on any diet decision you make. Most Mediterranean diet recipes are supremely delicious which sometimes beckons you to have more. Thats ok too but make sure you are exercising everyday. If your intention is to spend some extra healthier years on this lovely planet, then switch to this diet and enjoy some additional blissful moments on this paradise called earth. Watering and Tending to Your Bamboo Plant Correctly

By Michael Russell The big advantage that bamboos have over other garden plants is that they can be planted at any time of the year in areas with mild to warm climates. In the colder parts of the world, they are usually planted outdoors so they can harden off sufficiently before they face their first winter. If you plant bamboo planted late in the year, you should mulch the plant heavily. You should also provide the plant with protection from cold and drying winds. Successful growers in colder countries usually protect their bamboo plants with a heavy mulch through the winter. In extremely cold climates, a mature bamboo grove with an efficient layer of bamboo leaves covering their base will yield soft soil even when the surrounding soils are frozen hard. If your bamboo species spreads underground, you must install a barrier to control the spread of running bamboo before it gets out of hand. For most situations a barrier of 30 inches deep is recommended. In other than very light soils the bamboo rhizomes are usually in the top few inches of soil. However, when the bamboo rhizome bumps into an barrier, it will turn and sometimes it will go down. So it is very important to keep the soil tight and compact on the base of the bamboo, as well as eliminate air pockets next to the barrier so the bamboo does not creep any deeper than you want. If you need to add more soil, simply add soil on the top. You must prevent deep rhizome growth to contain the bamboo effectively. It’s also good to surround the plant with a shallow trench 8 to 10 inches deep–this is a cheaper and easier method. You will simply need to check a couple of times in the summer and autumn if any rhizomes have tried to reach across the trench. These can then be cut off easily and extra bamboo growth can be contained. Freshly planted bamboos do need frequent and generous watering. You should water the bamboo twice a week during mild weather and daily during hot and windy weather. It is recommended that each plant under 5 gallon pot size gets a gallon of water and for bigger bamboos, more than 1 gallon will be necessary. Once your bamboo plant has reached the mature size, it will survive with much less water, but until then, a lot of water and fertilizer is necessary to achieve the best possible growth. It is actually the lack of water, especially in the summer that is the leading cause of death or poor growth of new bamboo plants. The reverse is also true: if you give too much water to newly planted bamboos daily, or for longer than a few minutes, the leaves will drop. Older and more mature bamboos can take a lot of water but freshly planted ones can suffer from too much as well as too little water. When spring arrives, you will notice that there will be a significant yellowing of the leaves, after which the leaves shed off. Don’t panic, leaf shedding is natural and should not cause concern because bamboos remain evergreen and renew their leaves in the spring. They have to lose their leaves gradually so they can be replaced by fresh new ones. If you care for your bamboo well, a healthy bamboo plant will have green leaves most of the year and yellow leaves in the spring. Michael Russell Your Independent guide to Bamboo. The Perfect Accent — Miniature Roses

By Ron King Indoors or out, youll find miniature roses very easy to grow. These little guys sometimes get overlooked because they give off little fragrance, yet they can be the perfect visual accent to any home or garden. Compared to their full-sized cousins, miniature roses are practically maintenance-free. Just give them a “bath” once a week, and they’ll last forever. Small is Comparative A common misconception about miniature roses is they will make ideal houseplants. Before moving them indoors, realize that miniature roses can grow up to 4 feet in height. This large houseplant will need a very generous source of light. The micro-mini roses, however, only grow to about 5 inches tall and are just as easy to maintain. If you’re determined to have miniature roses indoors, there are several tips that will make caring for them easier. Planting Indoors Place your plant in direct sunlight. They flourish in the sunniest windows of your home. If the stems appear to stretch out, leaving wide gaps between the leaves, your rose is not getting enough light. Either move the plant to a new location or provide supplemental light. Make sure to bathe your plant weekly. Spraying will reduce the risk of a spider-mite attack. Gently mist the tops and undersides of the leaves. The spray also removes dust. Make sure that your plant looks comfortable in its pot. If the pot is too small, the plant will be cramped. If too large, your roses will be reluctant to grow. Planting Outdoors Outdoors, most miniature roses bloom from spring until the winter. If covered with mulch, it will have a good chance of surviving frost and cold winters. You can plant your roses directly into the ground, a hanging basket, or in an 8 to 10 inch pot. Make sure your plant isn’t shaded by large trees or anything that will cast a shadow. These little plants love direct sunlight. If you choose to plant your roses directly into the ground, dig a hole about 1 foot in depth and diameter. Take your rose out of its pot and gently untangle any loose roots. Place the roots down into the hole. Refill the hole with loose soil, so that your miniature roses are level with the top of the ground. Water your plant thoroughly. These same rules apply to potting your plant. Water Faithfully Don’t let the soil dry out. The first 3 weeks are crucial to any plant’s health. Water every day for those 3 weeks. These roses do enjoy their water! After the 3-week period is over, your goal is to just keep their soil moist. Check the soil daily — If it feels dry, give it a little water. Miniature roses will look great in your living room, along the edges of your flower beds, or anywhere your home or garden needs a little burst of color. New Orleans is only the Beginning as Prophecy Unfolds

By Ryan Lance Jeffery We are all very well aware of the tragedies occurring right now in the United States; particularly New Orleans. Yet, Bible Prophecy never leaves us to chance what is happening. In this issue I would like to bring your attention to two things the Bible states about America in Bible prophecy. First of all, is America identified in Bible Prophecy? Yes, indeed! If you have a Bible, turn to Revelation 13:11. The Bible reads, “And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.” According to Daniel 7:23 beasts represent kingdoms. This kingdom is represented as coming out of the earth. In contrast, the first beast of Revelation 13 comes out of the water which represents a great multitude of people. For the Bible reads in Rev. 17:15: “The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues”. Thus, the second beast coming out of the earth represents the exact opposite. America had been sparsely populated by the Indians before the late 1700′s and by 1798 it was recognized as a world power with a new type of governments. According to Daniel 8:21 horns represent kings, kingdoms, or governments. Thus, the two horns is Rev 13:11 represent the two governing principles adopted by America: Civil & Religious Liberty. This is stated to be a government, “like a lamb”. Why, because Jesus is the lamb according to John 1:29. Jesus advocates the freedom to worship without government interference. Wait, just a minute! Will this government that espouses PROTESTANT AMERICA change its course? According to Rev. 13:11 it will. The Bible reads, He had two horns like a lamb, AND HE SPAKE AS A DRAGON. Thus, we can conclude that not just America, but PROTESTANT AMERICAN will speak as a dragon. The dragon is none other than Satan (Read Revelation 12:9). Do you belong to a protestant church? Are they giving life to the first beast of Revelation 13? (For more info on the first beast of Rev.13 see www.greatprophecy.com) By examining the scriptures on the great prophecy website, you will plainly see that the Papacy as an organization is CLEARLY the first beast of Revelation 13. By the time we get to Revelation 13:12 we see protestant America re-uniting with America, causing the MAJORITY to worship the first beast whose deadly wound (civil and religious separation) was healed (the papacy regaining civil power to enforce religious dogmas) Let me be clear, no matter what protestant church you belong to, your church as a SYSTEM (not necessarily every member) WILL SPEAK AS SATAN to encourage false worship. If you do not conform, civil penalties will be the result. Jesus had to tell his own disciples. “These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended. They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service. This was fulfilled by the stoning of Stephen in Acts 7:52-60. Prior, Peter and many others had to rebaptize backslidden members of the church (Acts 2:5, 37, 38) before the gospel could go to the gentiles. What happened to the so called protestant churches that did not repent? They ended up stoning Stephen and rejecting the truth. Make no mistake, you will either be betrayed like Jesus or the betrayer like Judas. It was because of the 70 week prophecy that Jesus had full knowledge of his betrayal before it came to pass. “Rise up, let us go; lo he that betrayeth me is at hand.”-Mark 14:42 by this time I hope you have asked God for strength to endure the betrayal that will only come upon those who are faithful. How will this happen? How will THE PAPPACY and PROTESTANT AMERICA join hands to betray God and his faithful servants? Let us investigate. I Thessalonians 5:1-3, “But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, PEACE and SAFETY; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. Notice how I bolded the words, PEACE and SAFETY. The word peace is self-explanatory. The word safety comes from the original Greek Word:”asphaleia” which means SECURITY. The United Nations and the papacy are the world ambassadors for peace. Now, America is the World ambassador for SECURITY: Homeland Security and every other type of SECURITY associated with the PATRIOT ACT. That act is so generalized you could pick your nose and be considered a terrorist. Nonetheless, when PEACE & SECURITY are paramount, “then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. While the Vatican seeks to establish false peace Protestant America is gaining such political clout it is remarkable. You may wonder, how does this relate to the prophecy of protestant America joining with the papacy? Take a look at the following report from November 17, 2004: “The nation’s Roman Catholic bishops voted Wednesday to join a new alliance that would be the broadest Christian group ever formed in the United States, linking American evangelicals and Catholics in an ecumenical organization for the first time. The alliance, called Christian Churches Together in the U.S.A., is set to kick off next year. It would include mainline Protestants, Orthodox Christians, and black and other minority churches. With about 67 million U.S. members, the Catholic Church would be the largest denomination.” I have showed this to many people and they wonder if their church leadership has joined the alliance. Let me give you an acid test. Take a good look at your church logo. Has it changed to anything resembling a flickering flame within the last 20 years? If so, do not be deceived by false shepherds. Every protestant church has some variation of this logo which came from Vatican II. This logo represents the uniting of all churches as one. How does this relate to the recent tragedy in New Orleans? Well friends, natural calamities cost lots and lots and lots of money in damage. Thus, the economy takes another hit. Most God fearing people interpret this as God punishing the wicked world when in fact Satan who is the, “prince of this world” is adversely affecting the laboratories of nature. Thus, the people will reason that God is punishing them for not honoring the Sunday Sabbath. This has never been the Sabbath to begin with. Yet, people will do anything they think will restore them to temporal prosperity. Even if this means following a national Sunday Law which compels men by law to worship on a false Sabbath and violate their conscious. As we speak, the disaster in New Orleans has prompted our government to pass Marshall Law. I could write on and on, but if we are not studying for ourselves what’s the use. Soon you are going to have to stand for what you believe. Please study, because chances are your minister isn’t preaching anything to ground you in the truth.
